IRISH author Sharon Black writes contemporary and witty women's fiction.
Her first novel, Going Against Type, a romantic comedy set in Dublin, was e-published by Tirgearr Publishing in September, 2014 to great reviews.
She's had short stories published, and won the 2010 Dromineer Literary Festival short story competition. She also slogged away for a number of years, as a journalist for national newspapers.
Apart from her monthly blog, This Funny Irish Life, you can find her on Facebook, follow her on Amazon, or check her out on Twitter. She's learning to use Instagram, where you can find her under the hugely original title of SharonBlackAuthor.
When she’s not writing, she reads, walks, gets together with family and friends, tries (but fails miserably) to keep up with the housework, and drinks far too much coffee. She's also a member of a local book club, where a lot of books are read, much wine is drunk and a lot of laughter is had.
She loves theatre, old Hollywood films, every romantic comedy ever made - she is a diehard screwball comedy enthusiast - and edgy stand-up. She hates shopping. Except maybe bag shopping.
Sharon lives in a Dublin coastal village, with her husband and their three children.
